catcher in the rye- chapter 5

Holden writes a composition for Stradlater. He decides to write it on his brother's baseball mitt. Holden sais "I wasn't to crazy about it, but I couldn't think of anything else descriptive." His brother had written poems all over the glove, in green ink. I think it was a nice thing to write about.
