Catcher in the rye- chapter 3

Holden again uses the word phony to describe people. I'm not sure if he really understands the meaning of the word, or if he does know it and he just uses it with a different meaning each time. He sais that he likes to read, he is quite illiterate, and that his brother is his favorite author. He also discusses where he lived and some of the people he encountered when living there. I think Holden should be more open instead of being so sarcastic to everybody.
