Holden has a few drinks with Carl Luce. Luce starts getting annoyed when Holden keeps asking about his sex life. Luce, then, tells Holden that he needs to see a psychoanalyst because they think Holden's mind is immature. I believe what Carl Luce sais about Holden being immature. This would explain why he can never seal the deal with anything he sais.
