catcher in the rye- chapter 18
Holden calls his old friend, Carl Luce, to have a drink. After they set it up, and Holden hangs up the phone, Holden goes to the movies at Radio City. He did not really want to go, but he wanted to kill some time. Holden then talks about the time D.B, his brother, went to war. Holden sais " I am sort of glad they have the atomic bomb invented. If there's ever another war, I'm going to sit right the hell on top of it." Saying this, I think Holden likes to be reckless about his life. However, I think this is like the situation with the prostitute. Holden is all talk and no action.
